Roger Gowin Celebration of Life
« on: November 04, 2015, 07:37:04 AM »

There will be a celebration of life for my Dad, Saturday at 1030am November 14, 2015 at the Ridgecrest Elks Lodge #1913, located at 201 E Church Ave., Ridgecrest, CA 93555.

My Dad loved this club. I know many of you have great life stories about Dad and I welcome you to share. He last raced with our colors 4 years ago at the Viewfiinders Grand Prix- he had open heart surgery 2 days later!

We plan on making this a celebration! Roger would want it that way.

Feel free to wear your colors!

Feel free to give me a call- 760 977 6077

Mark

Mark,

Sorry to hear about Roger.   Your Dad was a true gentleman and I always liked being around him.  I admire how he tried to stay as active as possible given his medical issues.  A good example for all.  A great loss to all who had the privilege to know him.   I will try to make it to the celebration.

Mark,

I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing.  I was very proud to have known him. He was one of the guys that supported me while I sat in the chair, by helping me in put on the Diggers first ever desert race (86' Winter Hare Scrambles) @ Fremont Valley. He will truly be missed and maybe we can lay out a course when we meet up again!!!!!!
Godspeed Roger and prayers for the family
