Greg Powell got a Win at last Sunday's Round 2.
Had a guy riding my bike at Round 1, which he Won. The day before Round 2, he was at the MX Track and broke a leg on his bike.
So I recruited an old riding buddy to put on my bike. He Won.
Round 3 is June 22nd. Gates open at 2pm. Race under the lights.
Cool layout, good traction even at the 1st two rounds during the day.
So, show up, or be a putz.
That is all...

May 09, 2019
Meeting called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Heather McGowen, Referee.
Attendance and minutes taken by Sheri Kibbe, Secretary.
Stewards present. Wes Anderson, Jr., Lori Anderson, Guy Kibbe, Jerry Oman, Lisa Nasif Guests: Anna Hintz, Kurt Hintz, Matt McGowen, Jerry Strahler and Eric Jones

Flyers to be Reviewed:
a. Invaders MC - no errors noted

Old Business:
a. All old business was tabled until the next meeting

5. New Business:
a. Enduro Committee: Due to the situation that happened at the last Sprint Enduro we need to have rules specific to the Sprint Enduro in the D37 rule book to clarify what constitutes a finish. It was discussed to allow 50% of the completed tests to qualify as a finish, however scoring cannot do that until it is written into the program. Moto-Tally is currently set up to score a finish if all tests are completed. It was discussed that all “one loop” classes will be allowed to complete 50% of the tests to qualify as a finish. There was also discussion on which media to accept as the advertised number of tests required. Rider Instructions have deviated from what the flier states. It was agreed to abide by what the Rider Instructions state and that the Rider Instructions should be made public via social media before the event to give riders the most accurate information. There will be more discussion within the Sprint Enduro Committee regarding these issues and a formal motion for 2020 will be made at a later date.

b. Lost Coyotes made rule changes verbally on the starting line at their event that went against what was advertised. The Legends, Masters, Mag Nov and Women Nov were told to race loop 1 (4) times instead of loop 1 (2) times and loop 2 (2) times. The race referee felt it was a safety issue as loop 2 was more difficult than expected. The mini class was verbally told they only needed to finish (4) tests instead of the advertised (6) tests to receive a finish. When the results posted, all of the mini riders that completed (4) tests were given a DNF. One rider did (6) tests and received a finish. There was discussion on whether to accept a verbal change by a race official or to stay with what is advertised in the Rider Instructions. It was agreed upon by the Committee to stay with the advertised tests in the Rider Instructions. It is important to have consistency for the ridership although changes are being made to adjust to what the ridership is asking for.

c. Kurt Hintz made a motion for the 8 Grand Prix Clubs, to allow (only at the GP races) the AA classes to run different colored back grounds in addition to the yellow. 251+ Red background with white numbers, 201-250 Green background with white numbers, 98-200 green background with white numbers, Women blue background with white numbers. After discussion, an addendum was made to the motion to add: Only applies to Open, Lwt I, Lwt II and women AA classes that race both NGPC and D37 races. Classes that race D37 only will run traditional backgrounds. Motion passed. The AA backgrounds will be available at the event and not from the GP Steward.

d. Anna Q&A
What is the best way to process a temp app? After discussion, it was determined that the scoring official will enter the information from the temp license and entry form and check the “member” box so the rider will receive points.
What is the latest you can enter an app before the race? Contact the scoring official. Apps can be entered as late as the day before the event. You can keep entering apps as long as you don’t “import”. If you import, someone will lose their info.
The best way to contact scoring is through email for any scoring changes.
What do the fields D37dez# and bike# mean? Anna is going to check on this and let the Stewards know.
Why do numbers disappear? If anything is off between data and the entry, it will create a new rider. Duplicate riders can be merged, but when they are merged, they lose their points. Anna tries to go back and re- enter their points. It is important that the AMA# and the rider’s name match exactly so this issue does not happen.
Who checks the “member” box? Typically, Anna does.

e. Insubordination to race officials was discussed. A rider cussed at race officials at the start line and continued to do so at the checks. The rider was given a time penalty instead of a DQ. It was discussed that there is a rule in the rule book that states riders who behave in this manner will be DQ’d. Stewards felt that the rule book was not being followed and new penalties were being thrown out that aren’t in the rule book. It was noted that the other rider who was offended by the rider with the infraction had accepted the time penalty as just. The penalty was given on the start line before the banner dropped.

f. Next Competition Committee Meeting will be held via Zoom conference. Contact Heather for the phone number and access code.

Meeting adjourned at 9:16 p.m.
